ContactVSA asks government to purchase local steel product
Last week, the Vietnam Steel Association (VSA) has officially asked the Ministry of Industry and Trade to only use domestic steel for the government owned construction project.
Nevertheless, Vietnam's largest steel plant project, which was invested by the Korean Pohang Group (Posco), will enter a stage of trial operation.
In August, the first batch of 40,000 tons of cold rolled steel (17,000 tons of hard cold rolled steel and 23,000 tons of cold rolled steel) will be put into production.
By the end of September a project of 1.4 million tons annual production capacity of steel plate in coil will be officially put into operation.
